In the heart of the Isle of Wight in the U.K., you’ll find this little gem of a festival that offers visitors a summer experience they’ll remember long after the summer has gone. The event, created by Rob da Bank and his crew has been steadily growing for the last ten years with a mission to alter the face of independent festival culture. One can say they’ve achieved just that.
Limitless Possibilities Of Bestival
Bestival stands apart from its counterparts because of its unique atmosphere and the multitude of activities that are available to you to discover. It is one of the most diverse and aesthetically pleasing events, you’ll have the joy of experiencing and there truly is something for everyone here!
Not only does one get to experience of sensational music on the main stage, from the likes of Missy Elliot, Duran Duran and the Chemical brothers, but festival goers are also treated to an army of events that will make your experience unforgettable. Visit The Amphitheatre, hidden away under an umbrella of trees, to enjoy short plays, sketch shows and truly witty comedy theatre.

If you’re looking to simply unwind with a cocktail in hand while being surrounded by Indian day beds and parasols, then head over to the renowned Bollywood Tent. It is by far the most colourful and laid back Tent you’ll have the pleasure of seeing there.

Who says you can’t remain healthy while attending a festival? For those of you on a health kick, why not join the joggers on Music Runs all the while listening to a Bestival soundtrack, or kick it back a notch with daily yoga and mediation in The Yoga Yurt.
The possibilities are truly endless- one must simply have the desire to explore the ground site and you’ll be ensured of a fun-filled, adventure-packed three days.
Exploring The Island
If you are eager to explore the island, and it is certainly well-worth doing- why not start by walking along the beach in Fort Victoria? It is there that you’ll find the old fort and a woodland walk both of which are charming. You may also want to visit Carisbrooke Castle where there are a number of activities to be experienced; climbing medieval walls, exploring the castle and discovering the footpath surrounding the castle are all some options available to you. Finally, don’t miss the opportunity to appreciate the island’s beauty by simply walking around Isle of Wight with no other plan than to relish your surroundings!
There are numerous options for accommodation at Bestival, including Tipis, Yurts, Squrts, Cloudhouses and Bell Tents. You can choose to party (and sleep!) in style or you can rough it- either way you’ll rarely find yourself resting at Bestival!
